What The Features And Applications of Carbon Fiber Plate?

Carbon fiber plate is the unidirectional carbon fiber reinforcement panel, its forming process is to impregnate it with carbon fiber, then wait for curing in a mould and pultrusion. It abounds in high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, seismic resistance, impact resistance and so on, which enables it to make full use of the high strength and elasticity modulus of carbon fiber, and avoid the resin curing process of unidirectional carbon fiber fabric.

Nanjing Mankate carbon fiber plates are the combination composed of imported carbon fiber with high quality from Toray and imported moulding resin, with high strength, straightness and prestress tension. Four standards can be provided:  5cm×1.2mm; 10cm×1.2mm; 5cm×1.4mm; 10cm×1.4mm.

The features of carbon fiber plate:

1. High tensile strength, corrosion resistance, seismic resistance and shock resistance.

Carbon fiber plate abounds in preeminent physical and mechanical properties. Its tensile strength is 6 times stronger than that of normal steel, elasticity modulus is better than steel. What’s more, it riches in excellent creep resistance, corrosion resistance and seismic resistance, which are very suitable for reinforcement and restoration of reinforced concrete.

2. Light weight and good flexibility

The strength of carbon fiber plate is higher than that of steel, weight is 1/5 of steel, with high tenacity, it can be bended and wrapped. With its length, there is no need to overlap two pieces and avoid quitting the construction status.

    3. Easy construction and high construction quality

It can be constructed on the dry surface, and there is no need of grand construction equipment and fixed facility on-the-spot. Carbon fiber plates can be tailored according to your requirements, which can be constructed easily in a short term. No need of preprocess, and the construction is convenient. 

    4. Good durability and corrosion resistance

Acid, alkali and salt and atmospheric environment corrosion resistance, there is no need of scheduled maintenance. Besides, it can protect the inner concrete structure, in such case dual reinforcement and restoration can be achieved.

In addition, ①carbon fiber plates is more suitable to be used for prestressed reinforcement, which enables it to make full use of the high strength of carbon fiber. ②it can be constructed easily and the construction quality can be ensured. ③it is easier for carbon fiber plates to keep the straightness of carbon fiber than carbon fiber sheet, which is helpful to give full play of the capacity of carbon fiber. ④the reinforcement function of 1.2mm carbon fiber plates is 5 times stronger than that of carbon fiber sheet. ⑤comparing with carbon fiber sheet, carbon fiber plate is more suitable for brick-concrete structure reinforcement. ⑥the mixed plate composed of carbon fiber and glass fiber can enhance the ductility of concrete structure, and reduce the construction cost of carbon fiber plates.

The application fields: 

Carbon fiber plate can protect concrete beam from bending and shearing, it can be used for reinforcement and restoration of concrete beam, concrete floor, bridge plate, brick setting wall, shear wall, bridge pier, chimney, tunnel, pool, concrete pipe, reinforced concrete structure’s plate, beam and wall, the openings on the plate, the beam of wooden buildings, bridge plate, purlin, cable duct and prestressed reinforcement system.
