The Successful Application of Prestressed CFRP Plate Reinforcement System in Urban Road and Bridge in Chongqing

In April of 2015, under the supervision of Chongqing municipal facilities management department, NJMKT prestressed CFRP plate was perfectly and successfully applied in the project of south bridge of Caiyuanba Nanqu road in Yuzhong District, Chongqing city. As a kind of new building reinforcement material, the name of prestressed carbon fiber plate has gradually been known. 


The prestressed system is commonly used in concrete structure. Before the concrete structure is loaded, put stress onto it in advance, then after received the outside load force, it will result in the press stress in concrete tensile area in order to offset or reduce the load due to the outside tensile stress, and to keep the structure not to have or delay to have cracks in normal case. 


The technology of prestressed carbon fiber plate is a new type of strengthening and reinforcing technology. Compared with traditional technology of CFRP plate reinforcement, this new technology can make the carbon fiber plate achieve a high level of stress before bearing load stress transferred from structure; it plays a certain strength beforehand, so as to realize the full use of its high strength. 


This project is operated by Jiangxi urban construction group; the municipal department and the construction group pay much more importance to the materials, there are a number of prestressed carbon fiber plate manufacturers to participate in the bidding. In order to ensure the results are fair and rigorous, they especially carry out strict scientific tests on these various products in Chongqing Communications Technology Research & Design Institute. The test results show that the data of NJMKT prestressed carbon fiber plate performs well ahead.

2. NJMKT prestressed CFRP anchorage device system has excellent features of reasonable tension stress, convenient installation, unique slip-jaw shape to ensure sufficient friction locking force and to meet the maximum tensile stress requirements. Wedge device with self-locking and clamping method can meet the requirements of continuous clamping force and minimum prestress loss.

3. NJMKT carbon fiber plate is made from imported carbon fiber and resin composites. The unidirectional carbon fiber plate gives full play to strength and elastic modulus of carbon fiber. It has excellent physical and mechanical properties; tensile strength is more than 10-15 times of ordinary steel; elastic modulus is better than steel, excellent creep resistance, corrosion resistance and seismic resistance.

4. The matched adhesive anchor is M12 ( grade 8.8), a type of specified high-strength adhesive anchor bolt for cracked concrete base material. The main component is modified epoxy resin, real grade A anchoring adhesive, injection by applicator gun, without the disadvantage of uneven mixing.

5. NJMKT carbon fiber plate adhesive is specially matched for NJMKT prestessed carbon fiber plate system, strong thixotropy , low flowability, small loss.

Based on the quality of the product, the municipal department and construction group decided to choose NJMKT prestressed carbon fiber plate. They signed the contract with us on 15th April of 2015, and the construction was started on 22nd April. The entire construction process was under the supervision of Engineering Project Supervisor, and the project schedule and quality & quantity are truly guaranteed.
