In the process of using our building, we must not only be affected by the natural environment and human factors, but also resist the irreversible damage caused by the aging of the structure and the degradation of the material. Therefore, structural reinforcement is an important way to improve the durability and safety of the building. Reinforcement technology involves the reliability of building structures, components, durability and mechanical properties, and is one of the main technologies in the field of building construction. There are more than one way to reinforce a house.

 

1. Basic reinforcement method

Grouting reinforcement foundation method. The foundation reinforcement grouting is suitable for reinforcement when the foundation has cracks. The slurry can be generally cement slurry, and the water-cement ratio can be 0.5-0.6. It can also be made of epoxy resin. Design and construction method: first drill holes in the foundation cracks, no less than 2 holes on each side of the separate foundation, and drill holes per 1.5m-2.0m in the longitudinal direction of the strip foundation, no less than 2 rows. The grouting pipe has a diameter of about 25 mm and an inclination angle of not less than 30° with respect to the horizontal plane to facilitate the flow. The diameter of the hole is about 28mm, and it is 2mm-3mm larger than the grouting pipe. The hole spacing is 0.5mm-1.0mm, and the grouting pressure can be 0.1MPa-0.3MPa. The affected radius is 0.3mm - 0.6mm. Generally, the greater the pressure, the larger the effective radius of grouting. According to the width, depth and distribution characteristics of the cracks, the small crack with a crack width of less than 0.15 mm and a shallow crack depth is covered by a sealant. For cracks with a width greater than 0.15mm, high-pressure grouting is used to treat the cement. The grouting glue is used to embed the grouting nozzle through the borehole and inject it into the structural crack with pressure to achieve the purpose of sealing the crack. The carbon fiber composite material is adhered to the concrete surface for reinforcement and strengthening.

2. Expanding the base area method.

When the area of the foundation is insufficient, a concrete cover or an enlarged base area may be used. When the substrate load is eccentric, an asymmetric sleeve is used, and the center load is a symmetric sleeve. Before pouring concrete, the original foundation should be coated with concrete interface agent or chisel and then put a layer of cement slurry of the same strength grade to enhance the bonding of new and old concrete. The foundation of the widened part shall be laid with the same material and thickness as the existing part of the cushion. The step height to width ratio of the plain concrete cover shall comply with the requirements of the foundation specification. Anchoring ribs should be placed along the height to strengthen the connection and shear resistance between the old and new parts. Reinforced concrete slabs are also required to be reinforced, anchored or epoxy filled between new and old concrete. When the strip foundation is widened, it can be carried out along the longitudinal section, and the segment length is 1.5m-2m. The enlarged width part of the ground is not lower than the original base. The method is applicable to an independent foundation and a strip foundation with a relatively shallow depth, and has poor applicability to the raft base, the box base and the pile foundation.
