At this time, the compressive strength of the concrete in the compression zone is not fully utilized. Since the tensile properties of the steel are good, if a proper amount of steel is placed at the lower edge of the tension zone of the beam, the steel is used instead of the concrete, so that the compressive strength of the compressed concrete can be fully utilized, which greatly improves the bearing capacity of the beam.
